We are slowly getting settled into our new place. Still a few boxes left to unpack. Our extra room is looking more like a guest room and less like a storage facility, which is good since my best friend may be coming to spend a few days with us soon.

Alden starts a new job today. No not some great acting job that he was hoping for, but something that will hopefully make some money. He will be selling time shares/vacations. He is excited and I think he will be really good at it. He has a personality that makes people like him right away and that should help. Even though he has no sales experience, the guy is giving him a chance. So hopefully it goes well. I keep teasing him (well mostly being serious) that now he will have enough money to buy me a ring.

With Alden working, I am going to have a lot more time on my hands. So I have lists all over the place of things I want to get done in those lonely hours. It is going to be a big adjustment for us, since we are used to being together for a lot of hours each day. And the good thing is we don't get tired of each other. His schedule will be W-T-F 3-9pm and Sat-Sun 8-4. They work at those times so people can come in after work or on the weekend. So our only real time will be Mon and Tues after I get off work and Sat and Sun evenings. But I'm sure we will adjust. And hopefully it means I can get some scrapbooking done too.

New Digs!

On Sunday we turned in our keys to the old apartment and officially moved out. I am so glad it is done. The stress was crazy. Trying to get everything moved, cleaning both apartments and finding time to spend with Alden's family. I did end up with a cold sore from all the stress and a good sunburn from being stubborn at the beach. But at last it is over and now the unpacking begins. The kitchen is getting a few things done and we probably have five times the cupboard space in the new kitchen. We are having a hard time getting the furniture arranged in the bedroom. Nothing seems to look right. I guess it just takes some getting used to. So far we love the central air and are getting used to the hard wood floors.

Ted is off for two more weeks and then things should return to normal at work. Things have been going good but it is always nice to have the routine back.
