We start moving into our new place this week. Alden is going to help his aunt paint the walls on Tuesday and we get the keys! Our friend AJ is going to help Alden move a bunch of boxes on Wednesday (he has a large van we are going to fill) and they are hoping to get almost all of the boxes moved so we only have furniture to move the rest of the days. All of Alden's family should get here Wednesday afternoon/night. Alden is hoping to get some time to play with three out of his four brothers here. Almost everything is packed in boxes and there is hardly room to walk because of all the boxes. Alden counted last night and so far we have 131 boxes to move and probably about 15-20 more to load.

The fires around here are crazy but luckily we are pretty far away. It just makes the air quality terrible. Hopefully they can get them under control before more structures and homes are lost. So sad.

Until next time...

It's Official!

We are moving! We have given our notice to our current apartment manager that we will be out by September 6th. A bunch of Alden's family is planning on coming to visit and help us move. Jack is bringing his truck and so hopefully will only have to rent a small trailer for the heavy stuff we don't want to lift into the truck. I have started getting boxes from work and getting them packed with the things we don't need on a daily basis. Decorations and my books are some of the first things to get packed. I am trying to get it done early so I don't have to rush the last couple of days, since I have to work and can't take days off because Ted is off. I am also trying to be super organized and trying to put everything in boxes dusted and clean. I know if things get left to the last minute it will just get thrown into any available box as is. There are a bunch of things that I want to throw away or donate and Alden wants to hold onto it. Any suggestions on how to get a pack rat to get rid of things they don't need? I have resorted to throwing away small things when he is not looking and either hiding them at the bottom of the trash can or taking out the trash myself. Sneaky, I know. I am so excited to move into a larger place. Too bad that means packing and unpacking.

Until next time...
