80 degrees?!

It still amazes me when it is 75-80 degrees in the middle of January. That's the way it was on Saturday and Sunday last week. We even went to the beach for a few hours. Of course it is a little colder right on the beach but there were still people laying out in bathing suits and surfing. I didn't even think about getting in the water, it's way too cold but Alden was wishing he brought his boogie board. The waves were really big, 7-8 feet high.
I ran out of yarn the other day for the afghan and when we went to the fist Wal-Mart, they didn't have any of the blue I am using. So we went to another one and luckily they had the right color. I bought every skein they had. It is starting to look like a blanket now, not just a huge scarf. It is going to take a long time but I think it is going to turn out great. I hope it doesn't get too hard to work on as it gets even bigger. I guess I'll see.
Alden is on an acting job today, the first in a long time. The writers strike is still going and movies are about the only things with scripts still. Here's hoping the strike ends soon.

Until next time...

Happy New Year!

Our trip turned out great. It was so good to see family and friends. We had some ugly weather traveling, but other than that it turned out to be a fun time. Grandma Park loved her puppy and she instantly fell in love with her. I think she named her Lucy. I am officially back to work and just busy getting things caught up from the time I was off. There is losts of paperwork at the end of the month and even more for the end of the year. I got tons of scrapbooking stuff and I can't wait to use it. I also got remined how much I like to crochet and I have started on an afghan. It is going to be big so it's going to take a while and a lot of yarn, but I figured there is no reason to make a small one that Alden and I can't share. And it will match our comforter set for the bed. Alden worked at a club last night so I stayed home and went to bed early. Now he is headed to the ski hill to work for three days. I am hoping to get some cleaning done and all the stuff put away from our trip.

Until next time...
