Random Thoughts

Life has been pretty much the same the last few weeks. Nothing new is really going on. We have been having beautiful weather the last few days and it has been fun getting to the beach and riding our bikes. Easter was uneventful in our house. I guess kids make it really a holiday. I did cook a nice dinner though. Yummy steak (thanks dad), Italian potatoes and deviled eggs. We even had individual cheesecakes for dessert. I am very excited for our trip home in two weeks. It will be great to have a break from work. However, our plans have changed a little. My family was all supposed to go to Moab, Utah to ride 4-wheelers, but that part of the trip was cancelled. There were some people in our group that thought gas prices were too much. So, we will spend our days in Evanston visiting with friends and family. I'm sure it will be just as fun. In Idaho Falls we get to see our new nephew that was born on January 24th and Alden's parents just bought a new truck. I'm excited about seeing the baby. Alden is excited about seeing the truck. The hospital has finally slowed down a little and it has been nice being able to take my time with each patient.

With my tax return this year, we bought ... bikes! And all the accessories to go along with it. It took trying about four seats to find one that is even remotely comfortable. And we are having a lot of fun. We take the bikes to the beach where they have a nice bike path and just ride. It is relaxing and fun and even some good exercise. I still haven't figured out how I used to ride for hours at a time as a kid. I guess I just need to get callouses on my ischial tuberosities. (That is the bones on the bottom of the pelvis that you sit on.)

We also got tickets to Universal Studios but we haven't been there yet. We even got a season pass there so we can go as often as we like. No pressure to see everything in one day. Last year we did a Sea World season pass and made it there about five times. Universal is much closer and we hope to get there a few times at least. I have never been there and Alden hasn't been since he was young. I hope it's fun.

Nothing new is really going on. There are so many people I know that are pregnant right now. I am way excited for them, but a little depressed for myself.
