Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Alden and I had our own Christmas morning on Saturday the 15th. He was so excited that he woke up at 6 am and made me breakfast. Then we opened our presents to each other. I was way spoiled. I guess I can now reveal that I got a Cricut. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a computerized machine that cuts out shapes and letters for scrapbooking. I am way excited to use it. I do need to go and get a few tools to make things easier but it should be fun. Beyond that I got 4 pairs of scrubs, a new lab coat, earrings, a silver right hand ring, new gloves that have a battery operated heater and other small things. We had a fun morning.

I had to do a home health patient and then went shopping for our friends that just announced that they are pregnant with their first baby. I just had to buy some baby stuff for them. I found a way soft blanket, a hooded towel and a bunch of washcloths. Then a Sea World pacifier. Alden ended up going to pick up the guy that is interested in buying the Blazer but it took a long time and I thought we were going to be late for my hospital Christmas party. We got there right at seven, and thankfully they were a little late serving dinner. So we ate and danced and had a good time.

On Sunday we went to Sea World and had good time. We had season passes this year and decided to go one last time before our passes expired. They had it all decorated with Christmas stuff and even had two different Christmas shows.

We are packing and getting ready for our trip home. We leave on Thursday! Have a great Holiday Season.

Nothing much is going on here. As usual my life is about the same. I started seeing a home health patient last week and will see him though the end of the year. I go to his house twice a week and do just range of motion for his arms and legs and teach the parents and nurses how to do it on the days I am not there. Right now they are paying me privately and at the beginning of the year they will get a new home health agency and new therapists. I am actually doing it as a favor for our COO, Hector, until the new insurance kicks in. At one point I was going to hire on with the home health company and continue seeing him, but it is a really far drive and too far for me right now. It's nice having a little extra spending money this time of year though. The boy that I see is 12 years old and has been in a persistent vegetative state for 2 1/2 years. I commend the family for keeping him in their home instead of in a hospital. That takes a lot of dedication. They also have 24 hour nursing care for him.

I have gotten a couple of early Christmas presents. I got two movies, Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and Harry Potter 5, and a bracelet. The bracelet i got to open early so i can wear it to my work Christmas party on Saturday. Alden and I decided to open our gifts to each other on Saturday and have our own Christmas morning a little early. It should be fun.

We have our trip home planned for Christmas. First we are going to pick up a puppy for Grandma Park in Las Vegas at her sisters house. It's her Christmas present. She knows about it and is very excited to have a pet again. We got her a harness and leash and a pink doggie purse for her to take the dog with her when ever she wants. (The puppy is a girl.) We have to have the collar and leash to let the dog out while we are traveling any way, so it becomes Grandma's present from us. Grandpa has been gone for about a year and a half so the puppy with give Grandma something to take care of and talk to during long days by herself. Then we are spending a few days in Idaho Falls with Alden's family. The day after Christmas we will go to my parents in Evanston and drive back on the 30th. My family is having a party the Saturday after Christmas and all of the kids are planning on being there. (Except Isaac of course. He is still on his mission in Texas.) It should be a fun time.

Alden and I will probably have our Christmas the weekend before we leave for home. There is no reason for us to take presents with us when we will just have to bring them back with us. I am almost finished buying Christmas gifts. I only have to buy one for my parents and finish the family gift for Chrissy. I am almost finished wrapping what I have also. For some reason I feel like I am running out of time to get everything ready before we leave, but I still have over two weeks left. I guess I'm just excited for the trip home.
